Legacy fundraising is based around building trust with those donors and communicating the positive impact that their legacy contribution could have.
Have you considered setting up a Legacy Society? Simple, but effective, this can be a tremendous way of connecting your alumni and donors. Building a sense of belonging for members under a stewardship model and anticipating the long term benefits of a legacy gift is a good way to go for schools, in my experience.
